Limits & Fits

The standard limits and fits utility allows the user to assign the upper and lower bounds for a specified tolerance class and basis to dimensions.

	As the utility allows the automatic assignment of the tolerance class to multiple dimensions at once, it removes the tedium of having to edit each individual dimension by using DDMODIFY and assigning the upper and lower bounds.

	As the tolerance bounds are automatically determined by the utility, the user only specifies the basis and tolerance class, it removes the possibility of introducing the incorrect tolerance bounds.
	This utility removes the tedium of looking up the tolerance bounds within the British Standard.

Functionality:

The evaluation version of this utility ....

Tolerance class is selected from a dialogue box.
The dialogue box settings are retained by the system.
Only BS4500 hole basis supported.
Ratio of tolerance to main dimension is set at 0.75.
The tolerance bounds are applied to all selected dimensions.
Only Linear and Aligned dimensions supported.
Tolerance class and tolerance bounds retrieved from revisable database.
Tolerance class can be added to each dimension if specified by user.

Supports both BS4500 hole and shaft basis
The ratio of the height of the tolerance bounds to the height of the main dimension can be revised.
All dimension types (except angular) supported.
